The next time you have just a few minutes before guests arrive, try the caprese salad on a stick trick. I saw this in a magazine a few weeks ago, and it was a lifesaver the other evening. Just thread grape or cherry tomatoes, perline mozzarella balls, and basil leaves on a skewer, douse with a little extra virgin olive oil, and sprinkle with salt and freshly ground pepper. Super easy appetizer while folks are having their first glass of wine and settling in before dinner. Try it and I’ll bet it will become one of your favorite summer appetizers.
